Windrose Spring TX | Windrose Subdivision | Windrose Golf Club

One of my most viewed and top-rated neighborhood tour videos was the one I made for Spring, Texas back in July of this year. It seems like a lot of people are interested in the Spring area. And who wouldn’t? It is just a 24 mile drive from Houston, around 9 miles from The Woodlands, plenty of entertainment, dining and shopping to choose from, high-quality education, low crime rate and affordable housing. What could be better than that?

Enticing right? Now, let me help you choose where to live in this wonderful neighborhood. On my Best Spring Neighborhood video, I talked about the 4 best communities here in Spring such as Gleannloch Farms, Windrose, Auburn Lakes and Country Lake Estates.

I already featured Gleannloch Farms back in May. If you have not seen that video, you may click here (point upwards – link to the Gleannloch video). Right now, I am going to show you around Windrose.

Join me as I tour around this heavily forested community in the southwest intersection of FM2920 and Kuykendahl in Spring, Texas.

If you are new to my channel, welcome. I talk about all things real estate. Neighborhood tours and tips that are useful to first-time homebuyers, experienced homebuyers, home sellers, landlords, and renters who would like to relocate here in the Greater Houston area.

If you have plans of buying a home, complete my online homebuyer’s questionnaire down below. If you are a home seller, complete my online home seller’s questionnaire. I have a no-pressure approach, think of me as your consultant. Make sure to watch until the end of the video to take advantage of my home inspection checklist. It’s all yours for free as my way of saying thank you as I have reached my 500th subscriber last week. Words can never be enough to tell you how I appreciate you subscribing, liking and interacting with my videos. Rest assured that I will produce more great content not only to help you in deciding which house to buy, which community to live or which school district to get your kids into but also other real estate tips and tricks to ensure that you get the most of your hard-earned investment.

For today, I am excited to share the community of Windrose! Developed by Friendswood Development Company this great community of 2,200 homes in an 1121 acre of land is divided into 10 sections, some of which are gated like The Estates and Wyndham Trail at WindRose, tucked in the heavily forested area between FM2920 and Kuykendahl in Spring, Texas.

Windrose is known for its beautiful mid-sized homes in either traditional or Mediterranean designs. Most houses were built between 1998 and 2008 by a variety of builders like Newmark, Emerald Homes, Lennar Homes, Meritage Homes, D.R. Horton Homes, Brickland Patio Homes, and Custom Builders of Countryside Building Co., RNH Builders, Ranier Homes, Frontier Homebuilders, Canon Custom Homes, Southard Homes, and American Builders. These houses range from 1,750 to 6,200sq ft with a price range of $190,000 – $925,000 while the HOA fee is over a thousand dollars.

Residents of Windrose will surely enjoy strolling, jogging and biking around the Eagle Lake Recreation Area, a 20-acre natural lake with fountains, a fishing pier for some catch and release fishing activity, paved walking trails, benches for relaxation and a playground. A kid-friendly pool with water slides is just within the Eagle Lake vicinity. All these are for the exclusive use of residents only. Apart from Eagle Lake, there are other pocket parks in each section of the community to ensure that all residents get to enjoy a tranquil space where they can relax or spend time with their family and friends.

The subdivision has 2 tennis courts, a volleyball court and a soccer field. It also has a junior Olympic pool, home to the 3 Division Champion Windrose StingRays Swim Team. Adjacent to this pool area is the Meeting House and Information Center complete with a children’s playroom, a card room and a kitchen where residents get together for social gatherings and private parties.

Golf enthusiasts will surely fall in love with the 18-hole Windrose Golf Course located within the community that features lush fairways, strategic water hazards, substantial sand bunkering and a relaxed atmosphere. The 72,000-yard par 72 course has several different environment settings and four different tees settings fit for every skill level. It has a 6,350 sqft clubhouse and a quality Pro Shop with an assortment of the latest golf gear. And if ever you get hungry before or after a round of golf, you can grab a bite at The Grill that offers a warm and casual dining atmosphere. However, please note that at this point they are only serving at 50% capacity.

When it comes to education, Windrose is fortunate for being zoned to the highly-acclaimed Klein School District. It is surrounded by different A-B graded schools such as Benignus Elementary School located just within the neighborhood, Krimmel Intermediate School, Klein Collins High School and many more. There are also several private schools within the area like Frassati Catholic High School and Providence Classical School.

The bustling intersection at FM 2920 and Kuykendahl provides the community with its shopping, retail, dining and entertainment needs. Some of the known retailers in the area are Lowes, Super Wal-Mart, Krogers, Shogun Japanese Restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chik-fil-A, Chilis, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Cinemark movie theater, and a Sprout’s Farmers Market.

Living in Windrose is indeed a lifestyle of convenience. A perfect reflection of how it is to live in Spring Texas. If you are interested in this neighborhood or if you have any questions about Spring, Texas in general, do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more than willing to assist.
