Klein Grove | History Maker Homes | Homes For Sale in Spring Texas

Whenever potential clients reach out to me and ask which cities in my service area are worth considering when looking for a new place to live, Spring, Texas is always at the top of my list.

This wonderful suburb on the northwest side of Houston is dubbed as one of the best places to live by Niche.com. And I couldn’t agree more – Spring has great schools, it is just a few miles away from downtown Houston and The Woodlands, it has this rural feel in an urban setting, and most of all, the people are awesome!

For this week’s video, I’ll show you around a small new construction neighborhood in the Spring – Harris County area: Klein Grove Subdivision.

Before I proceed with the neighborhood tour, let me brief you a bit about Spring, Texas. It is a suburb located in northwest Houston covered by two counties: Harris and Montgomery.

It is served by three school districts – Spring ISD, Klein ISD, and Conroe ISD.

Spring is one of the fastest-growing cities in the northwest Houston area but despite this rapid development, it retains this rural feel that most residents love.

This warm and friendly atmosphere caught the attention of HistoryMaker Homes, one of the largest family-owned businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro complex.

Armed with 70 years of experience in home building, HistoryMaker did not let the opportunity pass and began building in the Spring area. By the way, a disclaimer – I am not affiliated with HistoryMaker homes. All information is provided as a courtesy and is deemed reliable at the time of this video.

One of their developments is located along Stuebner Airline road – Klein Grove. The neighborhood that we will be touring around today.

Klein Grove is a 25-acre community with a hundred two single-family homes in seven adorable designs. Caddo is a fourteen hundred square feet one-story home with a base price of $240,990 (as of this video) . While Gladewater, Holbrook, Rayburn, Sweetwater, Livingston and, Grapevine are all two-story homes with sizes ranging from twenty hundred to twenty-nine hundred square feet. Price starts in the high $200s and can go as high as the upper $300s depending on the upgrades. You may check the details of the individual home designs at https://www.historymaker.com. The tax rate listed on HistoryMaker’s flyer is 2.70% per $100 but like I always say, it is better to check with Harris County’s local tax authorities for more accurate information. HOA fee is $600 per year.
The recreational area is not yet fully developed when we drove by the neighborhood, but there are already benches and a set of swings for the kids and the kids-at-heart. Walking trails are still being constructed, but don’t worry! Meyer Park and Collins Park are just within a seven-minute drive southeast of the community. Families who love picnics will surely enjoy the pavilions, gazebos, picnic tables, and barbecue grills within the county-managed parks. While sports enthusiasts will certainly have fun playing soccer, softball, baseball, basketball, and volleyball in both parks. There are also nature trails for hiking, walking, and biking. Anglers will definitely delight in the 3-acre fishing lake at Meyer’s Park which is stocked with rainbow trouts, bluegill, channel catfish, and largemouth bass. And let us not forget our four-legged furred family members. A dog park is located just 2-miles away.

Klein Grove is served by the highly acclaimed Klein Independent School District, one of the most advanced and diverse districts in Spring. Pre-kindergarten students can go to Ehrhardt Elementary School, located just about a mile northeast of the neighborhood. It also serves learners from the 1st grade until the 5th grade. While 6th to 8th grade students can go to Kleb Intermediate School off Louetta road, just a mile north of Klein Grove. 9th to 12th students on the other hand are served by Klein High School located along Stuebner Airline road.

Unlike large master-planned communities, small suburban neighborhoods like Klein Grove does not have their own commercial center. Luckily, this HistoryMaker community is perfectly situated in the middle of three commercial districts – Louetta, Spring-Cypress, FM2920, and Kuykendahl. Shopping, dining, entertainment, and recreational centers abound in the area. There will never be a dull moment in this neighborhood.

Highway-99 is just four miles north of Klein Grove thus making it easy to commute to The Woodlands, the ExxonMobile Campus, and other major workplaces in Houston.

Living in a small suburban community with just a few amenities does not equate to limited activities and inaccessibility issues. It all depends on the location. You can still enjoy the frills of city life while staying in a laid-back neighborhood like Klein Grove. And did I mention affordability?

Klein Grove is indeed a thoughtfully planned community designed for homeowners who desire urban living but with a rural feel. If you are looking for this type of neighborhood or if you are interested in the Spring area, do not hesitate to contact me and I will be more than glad to help.
