We moved to Tomball over 2 decades ago and stayed here ever since. We fell in love with Tomball’s small-town appeal the moment we set our foot here. It immediately felt like home – the weather, the people, its proximity to everything, and the low cost of living. Sounds good?

Stay with me as I talk about the best neighborhoods here in Tomball so that you can also find a place you can call home.

Now, let’s move on to our topic. I know you are eager to know which neighborhoods here are considered the best. I chose these neighborhoods due to their proximity to Houston and other commercial areas, home prices, amenities, nearness to schools, and healthcare.

The first on my list is the Villages of Northpointe. It is a community that dates back to 2003 and has continued to develop over the years. This beautiful community of approximately 930 homes is located in the northwest area of Houston off SH 249. It mostly features large homes that are priced between $265,000 to $365,000 with an HOA fee of $650. Some new constructions by Lennar and David Weekley are still available but most of the houses in the market today are resales. Homebuyers have plenty of options to choose from, from extremely spacious houses to smaller single-family homes. It is a quiet, tight-knit family community with a very active Women’s Club that plans a number of family events for homeowners all throughout the year. Villages at Northpointe features picturesque lakes with winding hiking and jogging trails. Its residents can also enjoy the community clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts, and parks. It is also perfect for dog lovers as they recently added a dog park. Shopping and dining is not a problem in this neighborhood for they are just minutes away from H-E-B, Kroger, Aldi, Grab-N-Go Tacos, Adriatic Cafe, Top Sushi, Captain Brad’s, Rudy’s, McDonald’s and many more. The famous Vintage Park known for its unique shopping and dining experience is just 5 miles away from the community. Nearby hospitals include First Texas Hospital, Kindred Hospital and Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center. Villages at Northpointe is zoned to the award-winning Tomball ISD. Schools like Canyon Pointe Elementary School and Tomball High School are just outside the village.

The second on my list is Amira. This former horse ranch 483-acre master-planned community is just north of the Grand Parkway and east of Mueschke Road. Homebuyers may choose from several collections by Beazer Homes and Perry Homes with prices ranging from the $220s to the $460s with areas varying from 1500sq ft to 3800 sq ft. HOA fee is $950. Amira offers a serene lifestyle and a one of a kind world-class amenities such as The Resort at Amira, a 7000 sq ft clubhouse with fitness room, children’s reading nook, kitchen, and yoga studio. This sun-drenched courtyard offers lake views from shaded patios featuring flat-screen televisions with separate areas for adults and children. Residents can also enjoy family gatherings and impromptu neighborhood events at the open event lawn while their children enjoy the nearby playground. Its former show arena for Arabian horses is now dubbed Derby Dog Park, a park for the resident’s fur babies to enjoy. Shopping centers, restaurants and hospitals abound just 8 miles west of the community. Amira is zoned to the most sought-after Tomball ISD. Schools like Rosehill Elementary, Grand Oaks Elementary, Tomball Intermediate School, Tomball Junior High School, and Tomball High School are just minutes away from the neighborhood.

The third on my list is Albury Estates/Albury Trail Estates. It is a 170-acre residential development nestled among the pines and hardwoods of Tomball. Just 2 miles east of SH-249, this exceptional community only offers about 400 plus homesites built by Harrisburg Homes and Dunn & Stone Builders with prices ranging from $254,900 to $392,890. HOA fee is around $500 to $600. Albury Trail Estates is perfect for individuals or families who love nature. They can take advantage of the wooded area and trails that surround the homes in this residential community. Residents can also enjoy the community swimming pool and playground area that overlooks the greenbelts and walking trails. Although this neighborhood is hidden in the wooden section of Tomball, homeowners can still enjoy shopping at the Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall which is just a short drive away. H-E-B, Krogers and All Season Grocery Store are just nearby the neighborhood. In case of medical emergencies, Tomball Regional Medical Center, HCA Houston Healthcare and Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center are just close by. Public schools are managed by the highly-acclaimed Klein Independent School. Children living within the estates of Albury may attend Bernshausen Elementary School, Hofius Intermediate School and Klein Cain Highschool.

The last but definitely not the least on my list is Wildwood at Northpointe, also called Wildwood Communities since Wildwood at Oakcrest is within the community.  Wildwood communities is a 560-acre master-planned community located off of SH 249 at NorthPointe Drive. It comprises 25 residential communities, several of which are gated. These communities consist of around 1,300 single-family homes ranging from 55’ to 75’ with a price range of $220,500 to $535,000 and an HOA fee of $650 to $1620. Homebuyers may select from several home collections by Lennar Homes, Meritage Homes, Village Builders, and M/I Homes. Wildwood at Northpointe features excellent amenities such as a clubhouse, fenced and lighted tennis courts, a junior size Olympic lap pool with plenty of deck space, paved trails and a playground. This neighborhood is at close proximity to major employers, medical centers and popular retail destinations like H-E-B. Kroger, Food Town and Walmart Neighborhood Market. Its close proximity to the Tomball Parkway puts the Energy Corridor, downtown Houston and most of the northwest metro area within a 40-minute or less ride. This neighborhood is zoned to the award-winning Tomball ISD. Wildwood Elementary School, Oak Crest Intermediate School are located within the community while Tomball Memorial High School is just on its northern boundary.

All of these neighborhoods have several things in common: they are all accessible through major highways and thoroughfares, they are all in close proximity to shopping, retail and entertainment centers, they are all close to hospitals and medical centers, they all have excellent amenities and they are all zoned to great school districts. Which for me, could only mean one thing – you can never go wrong with Tomball (wink).

Do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll show you how great the neighborhoods here are.
